The American Colonies : New England colonies, Middle colonies, Southern colonies, and the Back-country description.
The american colonies were a group of British people on the east coast of North America that was created in 1607 and lasted until July 4, 1776. The colonies declared independence from their abusive leaders on July 4, 1776 and became the United States Of America.
- The New England colonies consist of Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire. The geography of this area mountains full of trees, rivers, and poor rocky soil that was very difficult to farm on. The natural resources of this area are fish, whales and forests. New England imported agricultural goods from other country's. No religious freedom because the puritans did not accept any other religion. They have mild and short summers, longer and colder winters but has less disease than the other colonies.
- The Middle colonies include New York, Delaware, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. The geography of this place has fertile soil and land that was adequate for farming, some of the features are similar to New England and the Southern colonies. The natural resources are : good farmland, timber, furs and coal. And iron ore was an important source. There was no specific religion so it allowed freedom of religion for Quakers, Lutherans and other people. The climate of this region is : they had a mild climate with warm summers and mild winters. This place is a big food producing region in abundance of wheat, corn, and livestock, etc.
- The Southern colonies are composed of Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia. The geography of this area features fertile soil, hilly coastal plains, forests, long rivers and swamp areas. The Natural resources of this region are fish, forests (timber) and good agricultural land, farming was important. Exported agricultural goods to other colonies. This area is not religiously dominated so it is freedom of religion here. This place is the warmest of the three regions and the winters are not hard to survive. The region is warm all year so crop growing was essential and plantations were also built.
- The back-country is located to the west of the thirteen states and mostly Indians live there. it is dense forest pretty much all around it.
